Brief background of Mr Tabotabo Auatabu

My name is Tabotabo Auatabu, from the beautiful island of Tabiteuea South (one of the southern islands in the Gilbert Group) in Kiribati.  Started my Education from Taku Primary School, Tebouria Junior Secondary School, Hiram Bingham High School, KGV&EBS to University of the South Pacific.  I spent almost 7 years at the University and successfully obtained Bachelor of Art in Psychology, Bachelor of Laws and Professional Diploma in Legal Practice.  After University, I started my Career as Teacher & Counsellor, the first I-Kiribati to introduce Counselling Profession in Kiribati Government School in 2012 to 2015.  Spent almost 4 years and then moved to Eliminating Sexual & Gender Based Violence Project to become a Deputy Coordinator in October 2015.  Just recently, in February 1st this year, 2016, I was promoted and appointed to become a Principal Social Welfare Officer (Head of Social Welfare Division, the newly Ministry of Women, Youth & Social Affairs) in the Country.
